Forever Tango

WHAT: Created and directed by Luis Bravo, Forever Tango features a world-renowned cast of dancers and musicians who bring an intoxicating sense of excitement and passion to the stage. Through music, dance and dramatic vignettes, the production traces the tango's colorful, often checkered history, from its beginnings in turn-of-the-century Buenos Aires bordellos to its acceptance into high society.
Sensuous and sophisticated, the tango inhabits a world where everything can be said with the flick of a leg, the tug of a hand, the tap of a foot and the arch of an eyebrow.

Modified Arts Information

November 19th - Say When
Say When just might be the hardest-working rock band in Boston, and with a national tour under way, they are ready to prove that they are one of the hardest-working rock bands anywhere. The band's determined , do-it-yourself attitude has led to sold-out shows all over New England, a self-funded, self-booked tour of the East Coast, opening slots for major national acts such as Yellowcard and Sugarcult, and, most recently, an invitation to perform alongside the biggest bands in modern rock at New Jersey's Bamboozle festival.

November 20th - Start Up
"This uncategorizable production from GTA's Road Theater USA casts a gently absurd light on German-American relations by using that most American of literary metaphors, the road trip. Written for the company by acclaimed German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig (and translated by Daniel Brunet), the piece sends up cultural stereotypes and mythologies in a charmingly oblique and playful way." -

November 23rd - Weatherbox
Gigantic guitar hooks and earth-shattering drum work seem to burst through a cloud of smoke. All the while, vocalist / songwriter Brian Warren provides a hefty dose of eclectic melodies with lyrics that harken back to a bygone psychedelic era. Equal parts progressive rock and symphonic guitar ambience, an undeniable statement.with Get Back Loretta

November 24th - Alasdair Roberts
Noted for both his own compositions and recitations of traditional songs, including on his album of traditional death ballads, No Earthly Man and in 2006 featured in the BBC documentary Folk Britannia. Roberts supported Joanna Newsom on her January 2007 tour, playing at four venues in Scotland and England. He now lives in Glasgow. Touring with CHARALAMBIDES: here is a truly 21st century experimental ethnic music that explores quietness and stasis... in the same way that musicians in the second half of the 20th century discovered amplification, noise and speed.
